One Creative Team
On the wedding day itself, our approach is unobtrusive and thoughtful. We guide you when needed during portraits, while allowing the rest of the day to unfold naturally.
This balance allows you to remain fully present with your family and friends while we capture the emotion, movement, and atmosphere around you.
We intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year (10) so that every couple receives our full creative attention and care.
A Calm Presence
After the celebration, your photographs and film are carefully curated and refined with close attention to detail. You will receive a preview gallery of photos within 72 hours of your wedding.
When everything is ready, your gallery and wedding film are delivered so you can revisit the emotion, movement, and atmosphere of the day whenever you wish.

from our first wedding together in 2013
Tandem began eight years ago with the two of us documenting weddings side by side as a married couple. While our team has grown, that partnership remains the heart of our studio.
Working together shaped the way we approach weddings today. Communication, collaboration, and care guide our team as we document each celebration with intention and respect for the moments that matter most.
One Cohesive Photography and Film Team

Our photographers and filmmakers collaborate seamlessly throughout the day so moments unfold naturally without interruption. The result is a cohesive wedding story preserved through both photography and cinematic film.
formal education unlike most
Our approach is grounded in formal education in studio photography, where we developed a deep understanding of light, composition, and visual storytelling.
Because weddings move through many lighting environments, this training allows us to confidently photograph and film everything from bright outdoor ceremonies to dimly lit receptions using both natural light and professional flash techniques.
Licensed Drone Piolts
We are also licensed commercial drone pilots, allowing us to safely capture aerial perspectives when appropriate for your wedding film.
When used thoughtfully, drone cinematography adds a beautiful sense of place and atmosphere to your wedding story.
Hospitality at the Heart
Beautiful imagery matters, but the experience of working together matters just as much. We have multiple businesses and one thing remains true in all of them - hospitality is the center focus of what we do.
Hospitality has always been central to Tandem. Our goal is to create an experience that feels organized, supportive, and relaxed so you can remain fully present while we document the moments that define your celebration.
DO I CHOOSE THE MUSIC FOR MY VIDEO?
While we wish we could say yes, we don't want you to end up with a massive fine from a label company. We cannot use licensed music that you would hear on the radio so at this time we do not take requests for songs in your videos. We pay for songs that we can license for a reasonable cost and choose the song we think fits best with our style + your wedding!
DO YOU SHOOT LGBTQ+ WEDDINGS?
YES. We serve anyone in love.
is drone footage included?
We love the drone as much as you do! As long as there are no venue or flying restrictions, drone footage is always included in our video packages at no extra cost.
HOW MUCH IS YOUR RETAINER?
We require a 35% non-refundable retainer fee for any packages. This retainer is used to lock in your wedding date upon signing the contract. The remaining amount is due 30 days before your wedding day!
my partner and i are awkward - is that ok?
Everyone says this to us at some point! I'll be honest, the first 5 minutes will be awkward in front of the camera BUT we are professionals at moving you into poses and keeping you moving! In between our regular poses, we play games. Ex. Bump hips back and forth while you walk towards me - this keeps you guys having fun and we can capture those genuine reactions! (see top photo for example)
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR ASSOCIATES?
Our associates have the same skill level and expertise that we do. These are our right hand people that we have trusted (in some cases) with our own wedding photo/video. They typically will shoot your day and we will edit everything to be consistent with our brand and other images or videos you may see on our website. We love our associates and the ability they give us to serve multiple couples with a quality experience.
DO YOU SELL ALBUMS?
Yes we do! We are so passionate about albums and would love to show you what we have to offer. You can get more info from our pricing guide!
WILL YOU RE-EDIT MY PHOTOS IF I DON'T LIKE THEM?
Not without extra fees. We have developed a style that we love and are known for. We like to believe our couples choose us with this style in mind and know that they're photos will look like the others we've shot. If you don't love the look of our images, please check out some other photographers in your area with different styles.
Can we see a full gallery?
Of course! We have a bunch of full wedding galleries and engagement sessions here.
Why does our booking proposal have an expiration date?
Your proposal is valid until that expiration date. Our business is changing and growing every day! After awhile we raise our prices to reflect the demand for our services. If you have a proposal that has not expired but our prices have changed, we will honor your proposal pricing. If your proposal has expired, our new prices will apply!
